Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to complete an online application for a certified or non-certified position?

Yes it is required for all Oswego Community Unit School District 308 applicants to fill out the online application. The website also tells you what supporting documents you need to send to the district office.

Should I send my resume to individual schools?

No. When the District Office receives your supporting documents, they are scanned into our system and attached to your online application. When the Principals are ready to review applications they can do so from their computer and they see everything that you sent us and they do the contacting for interviews.

If I apply, am I guaranteed an interview?

No. District 308 receives hundreds of application and unfortunately not everyone can be interviewed.

How can I become a substitute teacher for District 308?

You must have a Bachelor degree. You need to obtain a certificate registered in Kendall County. Their phone number is 630.553.4168 if you have questions. After you’ve obtained the required certificate, you may pick up a substitute teacher packet at the District 308 office located at 4175 Rt. 71 in Oswego.
