About the Administration
Susan Tiedt, Principal

Thank you for
visiting the Fox Chase Elementary School website! Our mission at Fox
Chase is to provide meaningful learning experiences for every
student. Please visit our website often; it is a wonderful source of
information about our fine school. We invite you to call or visit
Fox Chase with questions and comments.
I have been the
principal of
Fox Chase
Elementary School since 2006. I had previously served as the
assistant principal at East View Elementary School here in Oswego.
I began my career in education as a teacher of students with
learning disabilities, with most of that career also in the Oswego
Schools, at Thompson Junior High School, Long Beach and East View
Elementary Schools. I received my bachelor’s degree from Illinois
State
University
and master’s degree from Northern Illinois University in learning
disabilities. I later received my master’s degree in educational
administration from Northern Illinois University. My husband and I
live in rural Kane County, and we have two grown daughters, Carolyn
and Julia.
It is my great pleasure to partner with the Fox
Chase staff in serving the students and families of this community.
Our mission statement guides us in our efforts: Learn! Achieve!
Succeed! Developing knowledge and shaping character in a learning
community.
Assistant Principal, Keith Griffin
Be sure to say hello to our new assistant principal, Keith
Griffin. Mr. Griffin joins us from Grande Park and Old Post
schools. He was the traveling assistant principal, last year.
He is excited to join the Fox Chase family, full time.
